![]() During the installation the NIK COLLECTION installer asked me to uninstall the previous version, so I did it. The last Saturday working with NIK COLLECTION as plug-in I download the last version. The Nik Collection (DxO) also comes with standalone versions, so you could give it a try and see if that works for you.įor me all Nik Collection plugins do work without problems in Affinity Photo v1 and v2, and I don't need to use the mentioned workaround for these. I have the Affinity Photo 1.10.4 version (Great Software). I never found the reason for this though. Then I switch back to Affinity Photo while ON1 Effects is running in the background and I can successfully launch the ON1 Effects plugin from Affinity and everything is working as expected. Help center Nik Collection Installing & Activating How do I install Nik Collection for use with Affinity Photo This information applies to version (s): 6 For users of Nik Collection 6, the plugins will be automatically installed in the correct folder of compatible versions of Affinity Photo. My workaround in that case is to start the standalone version of the program (ON1 Effects for example) besides Affinity Photo so that the main program is just running. When I select on of these from the menu, they just don't do anything. I am having this problem with ON1 plugins (in Affinity Photo 1 and 2 as well). You can also use them as standalone apps. The ON1 Professional pack runs on Mac and Windows. You can buy them individually for 70.63 EUR or as a pack for 151.36 EUR. Because of that I developed a habit to not rely on the central plugin folder but specify the plugin path explicitly for each of the „problematic“ plugins (see screenshot).Īs far as plugins „just doing nothing“ are concerned: ON1 provides five plugins to use with Affinity Photo: ON1 NoNoise AI 2021, ON1 Effects 2021, ON1 Resize 2021, ON1 Portrait AI 2021, and ON. Some of these problems were related to „wrong“ versions of plugin files lurking in the plugin folder. Select the Photoshop plugin option to display the Preferences dialog. To open the Preferences, click the menu Affinity Photo > Preferences on a Mac or Edit > Preferences on a Windows PC. I also experienced some crashing or „just not working“ plugins with Affinity. (Affinity 1 is also using this directory quite happily.Topaz tries and I get a message that eror with plugins and then tries to open but crashes Affinity 2 I have uninstalled the Program Files install and at the moment I'm actually using C:\Users\user\.affinity\Photo\2.0\Plugins. ![]() Tie the impact of Control Points and Control Lines to the brightness and color of specific parts of your image with new. ![]() Combine the power of Control Points with the flexibility of linear gradients with the new Control Lines tool. I have tried both the Affinity 2 default folder - C:\Users\user\.affinity\Photo\2.0\Plugins and the default directory that my Nik installs in - Program Files\Google\Nik collection. Across almost every plugin, local adjustments gain five new features to take your images to the next level: 1. My only directory showing under C:\Program Files\Google is Chrome, and of course that doesn't show up on the Photoshop Plugins page. Is there a post-install way to connect Nik to Affinity Photo (Nik support is not up to par on this, sad to say.) Thx. ![]() I have no such Program Files\Google\Nik collection showing on my Photoshop Plugins page under Plugin Search Folders. I installed Nik Collection 2 by DxO but couldn't connect the plugin during installation. When I click on the Nik Collection directory, all of the Nik plugin folders are there, including Uninstall Nik Collection.exe. Is there a reason they aren't in the 2.0/Plugins directory? When I click on Open Default Folder in Explorer, it takes me right to my 2.0/Plugins folder, where Gmic and Nik Collection reside. It looks to me like you have your Nik installed in Program Files\Google\Nik collection. ![]()
